What Will We Do When We Run

Out Of Land To Live ON?

They have been talking about living on the Moon for years now. Will settlements on the Moon even happen? Why does any one even want this in the first place? Well as you know, people are being born all the time and with the green house effect we are going to run out of places to live. “The greenhouse effect is the process in which the emission of infrared radiation by the atmosphere warms a planet’s surface. The name comes from an incorrect analogy with the warming of air inside a greenhouse compared to the air outside the greenhouse. The Earth’s average surface temperature of 15 °C (59 °F) is about 33 °C (59 °F) warmer than it would be without the greenhouse effect.[1]” With the temperature raise the ice will melt, there will be more water and less land. We are going to have to do something soon.

I think that we need to live on the Moon and I think that it makes a lot of sense because everyone at one point or another wish that they could go to the Moon and now we are talking about living there. I found a essay from March 25, 1986 that said, “A Presidential panel is proposing a long-range, $700 billion space program that would put manned settlements on the moon in 30 years and envisions an eventual 1 million space travelers a day, according to a published report. (New York Times)” I think that if pretty crazy that they were thinking that we would be living on the Moon by 2016 that would have been 30 years from the day it was written. Being the year 2007, 21 years later, I think that I can safely say that we are no where close to living on the Moon by 2016.

I have been talking to many of my friends about living on the Moon and that they all said that they could see it happening, but not in our life time. My girlfriend Melanie and I were talking about it and she said that it sounds like a great idea, because of Green House Effect. More people are being born than dying and we are going to need somewhere to live. She agrees with me that it does not sound like it will happen in our lifetime, but maybe our great grand kids life time. If it does cost 700 billion dollars to make the Moon livable, as the article said, then what would it cost each person to live there? It sounds like if you did live on the Moon that you would have to have a lot of money.

I think that it would be nice to live on the Moon because it seems like the only other choice would be to live under water. I am not sure that living under water would be as good as living on the Moon because at one point we want to be able to grow food have water and breathe air. I do not believe that it would work underwater. Also the Moon is like another planet where you could just fly away to. You would feel like your so far away from everyone that they do not even exist. Another choice is we could even live on top of the water but then you could run into mother nature but I do not believe any better.

Back in the year 1986 they were thinking that we would be on the Moon in 30 years but we all know thats not going to happen. I also found where they said that, “In its early stages, the program calls for the development of new equipment, including a low-orbit cargo vehicle by the year 2000, a passenger vehicle for travel to and from low earth orbit, and a transfer ship to carry passengers and cargo beyond the moon.(New York Times)” It is 2007 and I still do not see us getting any close to have people travel back and forth to the Moon. It sounds like people were dreaming back then because we are nowhere closer to living on the Moon.

There is going to be a lot of work that will need to be done before people will be able to start moving to the moon. As of right now there is no water, food, natural recourses, or oxygen. As you know if we were to live on the Moon we would have to live in a bubble or something like that. In 2006 they made a fake picture of people starting to work on the Moon and they said, “NASA announced in 2006 about its centennial awards for refining moon ore for oxygen, creating excavators & finally about shipping. All are pre-requisites NASA believes are required for any settlements being in place. Here engineers in redefined suits to combat the dust particles look at what has happened to one of the automated diggers that collect the ore which is processed at the “HydroGen” facility. Spare parts and engineers are flown in to maintain the activities on the Moon’s surface. (Warren Turner)” I think that they did a good job with the picture and there is still a lot of work that needs to be done before we can start living on the Moon. But I think it will work out great.

There are people out there already talking about buying land on the Moon. I am not to sure about this because that sound a little crazy to me but I guess people are looking to start buying up land so that when people start moving there they will be able to sell it for more and make a profit off of it. I would never trust anybody selling land on the Moon because what happens if we never end up living on the Moon then we are just throwing our money away. As they said, “It will be offered for sale after months of worldwide press coverage produced by the race to be the first to settle the Moon. There will be land buyers with business purposes for buying and using land, but there will be a much bigger speculative and investment market. Many people who will never leave Earth will buy Lunar land. Some in hopes of making a profit, others just to be part of the excitement or to leave an acre to their grandchildren, or put their name on a crater.(spacesettlement.org)” I think that does not sound like a good idea to buying land yet. I would wait to see what happens and to see if we really move to the Moon and can live there without dying. Right now it sounds really cool to be able to go to the Moon and live there but yet it still sounds like it was something some kids were dreaming about.

Settlements on the Moon seem like it would be a great idea once we do finally get food, water, and air that we could breathe. I think that it would be great for your country to be able to get out of this planet and be able to live somewhere else. It would be the answer to the Greenhouse Effect we were looking for.

John Doe my IF project

Here blow this is my IF and it is runed by  Inform 7 which you can download for free by google “Inform 7″ I hope that you do try this out for your-self. If you have already looked blow you will see all text and that is what the game is. It is all text and what you do is you see thing and then try to take them and do something else with them. You need to read everything! YOU NEED TO READ EVERYTHING! and yes everything or you will miss out on something even if you beat the game. I will tell you now that there is a wrong by and the right way to beat this game. As of now this game has 3 ends, try to find them all. Two of them you die in and one you will win in. This game is short yet fun and if you never heard of the game before you should try to make one your-self!

You can also hear a lot of noise and lights to the north. You also see a trail to the south going deeper into the forest.”Trees are a supporter in the forest.Sticks are a thing in the forest.Rocks are a thing in the forest.

Clothes are a thing in the forest.

The description of the sticks is “looks like something you can burn.”

North of the forest is the grass.North of the grass is the High Way. “Your in the grass right next to the High Way to your north. It seem like someone crashed there car here and you should be carefull what you TOUCH!”High Way is a room. “Here you see that something real bad has happen. There looks to be 5 or more cars that have crashed here and some are on fire. There was a 18-wheeler crashed here loaded with bricks. You see someone screeming Larryyyyyy, Larrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyy overrrrrr here. There no one else around.” The sticks can be set on fire.A thing can be flammable or impervious. Instead of taking Hammer:

Say “You shot Once and miss. You jump behind the box and took out one and the other guys. Then out of no where you get shot in the foot but yet still seem and shot and kill the second guy. PS2 review in class

Kya 

Today in class we looked at the PS2. We looked at a game called Kya I my-self have never heard of it before.  Kya is the name of the girl, and she looks like one of the main people. The game is like a cartoon and it look really really. The name of the boy is Frank. At the being of the game they go down stair and found something weird which takes them through the wall and into a weird world. There are some anianls there that tell her to follow them. Something is trying to hurt her.

Game game seem to try to teach you how to play. I keep heard one of the aniamls say, “follow me” and butten come up on the screem to tell you how to do things. The game to me looks like a lot of fun and that just about any age could play it. They keep having buttens come up telling you how to do moves and the animal said, “lets go!”.

The game look like it is one of those game that is a lot of fun to play and does not take much get use to.  It is very good that they have another person that you can follow to show you where to go. If the other person was not there this game would be very hard and not fun to play.  There was never any time where you did not know where to go but at it is only the bring of the game. I know that after see someone play this game I would like to play it now!

Madden NFL 06

I am not a big Football fan and to tell you the truth I do not really like any sport game but it does look like a fun game. There are butten on the different plays you can do so that makes it really easy to be able to pick your play. The game it-self does not look like a hard game to play, you get the ball keep it away from the other team and then run it down feild. The game make it look like your watching it on TV but yet you can contorl it. You can move the TV do what you want for a change and your not just watch it happen. Now if your at home screeming at the TV saying, “I could have score that football!” now you really can score that ball. From the point of view of someone who like game like Halo I think that Madden look pretty cool. It look like you can just pick it up and start playing with out having to learn the game to much. I would say that just about anyone could play this game without to much of a problem.

Grand Turismo

This game is really sick becasue you get to drive all those really fast cars without having to buy it. I love this game when I played it with my brother. You will see a car you have always want to drive and this game lets you do it because it makes driving the car feel so feel like your really there. I think that any one would be able to play this game.  At start this game can be a little hard because it is a little hard to drive. You will not be able to stay on the track but sometime you get a car that can go so fast it is to hard to drive.

Resident Evil 4

I have play this play and it is great. This game feel like you are really there and the cut screens are just great. This game is crazy and for people who have never played this game should. Its a lot of fun and easy to play at first becasue it really teach you that as long as you stay far away from the people they will not able able to hurt you. This game is very evil and the use much bad words.  This game get really hard really fast and you cannot stay far away any more.

Overall I think that this game is great and that this game any get carzy hard but I still get that this game is a lot of fun and that if you have never played this game you should because it really show you how good they can make games. I think that the graphic are pretty sick and that the AI are really smart and that get is crazy if you ask me.

Xbox 360 Update To Dashboard

The Xbox 360 has a new update for the dash board. Which mean when you start your

Xbox with no game in it, you go to the dash board. From here if you do put in a game after

 you started your Xbox 360 you can play it. The dash board looks like this (look at the

picture at the top of your screen). In this screen you can also look at your messages,

friends, and chat (which is also going on in the picture as you can see). This is really easy

to work your Xbox 360 and you do not even need to ask someone how it work.

In the updated dash it looks like it is just about the same but now they have a thing called

 ”Inside Xbox” which they have news about games. In a way its like have a Newspaper

and it tell you what is coming up, hint for games, and the coolest thing is you can buy

originals Xbox games for 1,200 points and it cost $6.25 for 500 points. If you never

played to game before it not a bad deal. One of the hints the Inside Xbox give you is,

“Having trouble sticking enemies with plasma or spike greanades? Aim low and throw just

before an opponent reaches you with a beat down, energy sword, or gravity hammer

attempt. Then, leap over them and enjoy their anguish and your shiny new medal (Inside

Xbox 5 0f 12 11-10-07).” OH MY GOD it works, I knew about this before today and it is a

of the best feels when someone with a energy sword (which should kill you) and you

throw a plasma right in the face. This means they will not to be able to see and they die.

That just great!

Pong in Class writing

PONG!

 

 

 

The Borders and Boundaries in pong are the sides where if the ball hits the other guy get a point. And if your ball hits your patel you sent it to the other side to see if he/she can hit it or you sore. The rules in pong are easy, one person try to hit the ball with the patel and if they miss you can a point. You just keep doing that until someone gets to 11 or 15. The logic of pong is that you need to hit the ball to the other side so that you can sore and win the game. You do not want to let the other guy sore. The emergence of pong is that you can put it on easy, or hard and it will always be a different game. You can always replay the game and have more fun or just a different game than the last time. The culture in pong is that you need to have fun when your playing the game to make it a game.

Guess What I saw???

This was on myspace and I found it! It really funny and this happen about 2 years ago!

I was playing paintball today, again. We were using the whole yard this time for a little bit of a change up. I was going place where I have not gone before. My brother and I just start up another game.

I when into the woods and saw one of my dogs many play toys. I went to go get it and then turn around looked up and you would not believe what I was. At first it looked like someone head but it was not. I looked again and it was a bees nest the size of someones head or maybe bigger. I had to screem to my brother to stop the game because if he saw me he would have shot me.

I screemed, “NICK GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE I HAVE TO SHOW YOU SOMETHING!” When he got there he said, “OH MY GOD, IS THAT A BEES NEST?” yeah.
My Mom heard us screem and ran over too. She saw the bees nest and told us to get away from it but we did not, (of course).

Like I said before we were playing paintball and both had guns in our hands. We both looked at each other and said let shot it down. We ran down to the street and open up on the nest! The bees were not to happy because they were all around the place as soon as we started to shot it but since we had gun we were far enough away so the bees did not know where it was coming from. At first it was not doing anything but putting a lot of holes in it. I move up close but my brother kept shot from where he was.

After I got closer it fall in half like a pinata and candy start to come out. I mean bees and when I say bees I mean 100’s of bees, more than before.
I was not going to be happen till the whole thing was on the ground so I kept on shoting the shit out of the bees nest. After 400 plus shot later the whole thing was gone. It was so much fun I started screem as loud as I could. I ran down to my brother I was screem more, he was to. My mom told me to shut up and my dad said your going to have 400 bees coming after you now. I was just luagh my ass off. I was so happy that it fall down I did not care.

After we shot the nest down we when to look at it. There was paint dripping from the trees like water. I was like oh my god we really shot the shit out of that bees nest!What are the bees going to do now?

I do not care! They are all die now LOL LOL LOL

Guitar Hero 2

I think that the game Guitar Hero 2 is a great game. The first time I played the game I was out in the woods, I was camping and we did have power. The game was great and then for my brithday my mother got it for me. My girlfriend, her brother, and I plus more love to play the game. The best is when you have 2 guitars and you can play 2 player because you can realing show your friends how good you are.

We were playing it over Thanks Giving break and we had the whole family playing it is great when you can see your father play the game and he know the songs and now he can play to it. It is funny to watch because they are not that great but we are still all having a great time.

I love how they made the guitar look a lot like a real guitar without the strings but still you get the overall feel of realing playing. You almost feel like your real in the band. The game is cool how when you get star power in order to use it you need to move the guitar a little bit and it go on. I think that cool that you can real feel like your playing a guitar.

If you have never played Guitar Hero you should go pick it up, plus its for all the different systems!

Get Lasered

Get Lasered!  I best feeling is when you laser some one right out of the air! I had five of those kiss that game because the people on the other time just kept jumping to the middle which is the stupidest thing in the whole when the whole other game is waiting for you. (aka my team)

I love the fact that you can go to your game after you finish playing and watch it. This is the real picture from my game and that is me using the laser. You can take pictures of what ever you want the then go on www.bungie.net and put them on your myspace or facebook. Its great games, taking picture and watch your self play the game and from different views.

What is the point of a Girlfriend?

Everyone today is looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend to spent time with and have lots of fun with. They are looking for someone that they can trust and someone they can yell at and someone they can cry on and someone they get be happy with and someone they can kiss but stop . . . WHAT IS THE POINT? really why do we do this and is it to make us happy or sad. I think it is someone as people that we just have inside of us. I think that no one really knows why someone falls in love it is just something that happens. Something that people have been doing for so long that no one ask why.

I have a girlfriend and her name is Melanie. We have been together for one year and 5 months. We have are doing great but like any one we have our ups and down up I think we are and will be just fine. I love my girlfriend and I still do not know why I want one I just do. It just something we do as people! Have someone there for you and someone who cares for you is the best thing in the world. I would not be able to live without Melanie I love her and I would be lost without her.

What really is the point? I do not know!
